CareTech presents future solution at Stockholm conference
The Conference “Social Alarm – Function and Safety in New Environments” at the van der Nootska palatset in Stockholm was hosted recently by Swedish municipalities and county councils. The event was attended by representatives of the municipalities, politicians, officials, service providers, and suppliers from all over Sweden. CareTech AB displayed its uniquely innovative product, CareIPTM which is, the world’s first carephone based on IP telephony.

The main purpose of the conference was to emphasise to all stakeholders involved in the social alarm industry the importance of working towards solutions to the issue of compatibility of carephones within the new digital framework. The issue has been brought to the fore because social alarm systems designed for the old analogue network were no longer working reliably when used in the digital networks. The municipalities are also in a period of transition where new technical solutions are offered.
Today there’s about 150 000 to 160 000 users of social alarms in Sweden. One of the main questions of the conference was how the transition from analogue to digital should be handled in the future.
Among the lecturers was Arto Brushane, MD of CareTech. His presentation of the companys ground breaking CareIPTM Digital Alarm Unit, the first of its kind any where in the world, was very well received.
The visitors were also given the opportunity of tasting the famous caviar from Kalix named bleak roe.
CareTech has 30 years of experience in the Industry. It noted even from an early stage that the development of the digital network would require technological advancement in Carephone specification. More than two years ago the decision was made to develop a carephone for the digital network.
-It’s a breakthrough for all involved now that we’ve got a solution that’s suited to the new digital infrastructure. With this new technology the functionality of social alarms is secured regardless of which operator or technology you choose.
The municipalities and county councils of Sweden are emphasising the importance of cooperation between providers, operators, users and clients. “At Caretech we welcome this campaign” MD Arto Brushane. |
