CareTech is strengthening it’s sales organisation in Europe

On September 1, 2008  Peter Shirley joined the CareTech team and will be operating as European Business Development Manager, initially focusing on the BeNeLux and UK markets.

Peter will be working alongside Stefan Andersson in growing and developing Caretech’s export business as the expansion of world telephony networks provides new opportunities for digital technology and related healthcare services.

Peter hails originally from the north of England and has worked in the social alarm and assisted technology industry for over 20 years. He started in the business with Davis Security in the mid 80's and has worked in a number of roles, including a period as UK Sales Director for Attendo Systems from 2001 to 2006 where he was responsible for sales, marketing and developing the company's carephone and telecare business. Most recently and prior to moving to Sweden he was Sales Director for assistive technology and environmental control specialists Possum Controls.

Peter, commenting on his appointment, said:

 “I am particularly pleased to be joining Caretech at such an exciting time in the company’s long history of developing innovative care technology. I had a number of opportunities to return to the telecare industry of late but the prospect of developing the market for Caretech’s newly developed IP platform was the deciding factor.  

With the introduction of the CareIP™ we are well placed to bring social alarms into the digital age. I look forward to working with the Caretech team in matching the changing needs of both service providers and their customers with our forward thinking solutions.”

Peter is now living in Stockholm and we all welcome him and wish him good luck in his new position.
